Almost any food has protein. You don't need nearly as much as you may think you do. As long as you don't have a junk-food diet, and as long as you get enough calories, you will get enough protein.
Chickpeas, beans, pulses, leafy greens, tofu, tempeh, most soy foods, almonds, sesame seeds, tahini, and even blackstrap molasses are good sources. (Check out www.vrg.org.)
