Are there any vegan alternatives for turkey that are gluten free?!

Question: Know of any tofurkey style products that aren't made from wheat gluten? ...all that I've found are not gluten free.

Here's one you can make yourself http://www.recipezaar.com/146092

why would vegan look for someting that looks and tastes like meat?

Why you're avoiding Gluten? gluten is contains high protein, it is better than any meat that omnivore consume.

go to abbeysrecipes.com i think that's what its called. they have a rescipe to make your own tofurkey thing out of tofu. it sounds delishious

Morningstar makes gluten free tofurkey patties and nuggets :)

Hope I helped.

I would assume she's avoiding Glutein because of Celiac's disease, aka Glutein Intolerance.

Celiac's is a very serious condition and can cause major problems if you accidentally ingest it.

Check out www.vegweb.com for holiday recipes. You should find something gluten-free.

Or you can go an alternate route and have a stuffed squash with vegetables.

I was trying to find out if Quorn had any gluten in it, but I couldn't find any reference to gluten on their site. Their products are made from mycoprotein, which is from a type of mushroom i THINK. It's a vegetarian meat substitute, not sure if it qualifies as vegan, though. I used to like it a lot, but I haven't really seen it for ages.

Anyway, most Quorn products are on the poultry side of the taste band, so could be worth a look, i guess.

Try making your own. I have a great recipe on my website for Tofu Turkey and also Vegan Pumpkin Pie:

yeah, just eat turkey
