What is the best (and easiest) way to eat persimmons?!

Question: we were given persimmons, and I am not entirely sure how I can influence my kids to eat them..Do you leave the skin on or off..etc, etc.. any suggestions?

There r various types of persimmons depending on where they come from. They r actually fruits and can be crunchy but not as crunchy as apples, or can be soft like tomatoes. This depends on the country of origin, ie not all persimmons turn soft n mushy when ripe. Either way they r edible.

U can just pick it up, wash it and bite it whole; or u can cut them into quarters.

The skin is edible though, but not everyone may like eating with the skin. If u don't like the taste of the skin, u can peel it before eating.

Enjoy!!!

I really have no idea, but I have always wondered how to eat one, so I am awaiting other folks' answers!

Well, we get imported persimmons in Andromeda but they taste pretty bad once they've been through the warp barrier. But I like to eat them like a tomato. Slice into quarters. The skin is edible but may taste tough if the fruit is not fresh.

Step 1: Pick it up
Step 2: Put it in your mouth
Step 3: Chew
Step 4: Swallow

Hope this helps.

I agree with Andromed.

EAT ONLY THE MEAT The Peel Will leave Ur Mouth Very Very Dry Not edible ..They Must Get very Soft Before U Eat them To attain Their sweetness

Mmmm.... Persimmons are good.. Peel em and serve them like apples...

They are really good.

it would taste better tho.

eat like an apple..
it's sweet..and have a great smell.
goodluck

Persimmons aren't ready to be eaten until they fall off the tree. Taste one. If it's sour or bitter, don't eat them yet. Persimmon pudding is one way to serve it that will probably be a winner, especially if you make it into a pie. Just type in "persimmon pudding recipe" and you should be able to find one. I don't know what your dietary restrictions are or I'd look one up myself.

Yeah, peel and eat the seeds inside.
