Gelatine ?!
Is it because its only a trace, and not an allergen such as eggs, milk, nuts, soya etc? Thanks for your help......
Answers: Why do products that use gelatine as a carrier (some orange drinks such as Fanta) not label the gelatine? I know gelatine in alcoholic drinks isn't labelled, because in the UK legally ingredients need not be listed for products with over 1.5% alcohol.

Gelatine should be on the labels, if it isn't it should be.
Gelatine used to be made out of horse hooves..
gross eh
hey
I'm not totally sure but i guess its because there isnt much in it. I'm sure they would have to write on the product that it is not suitable for vegetarians if it has gelatine in it. I don't think some products have to list all the ingredients
Hope that helps
wait theres geletine in fanta? im so ******* glad that i dont drink it. how do you tell if geletines in food as a carrier? i no this isnt my question thingy but still
Can't food producers start making everything out of gelatine so I can have marshmallows and gummy bears. I can't even use glue without feeling guilty
I don't know why, but here's some good links about gelatin adn other animal products not usually listed. Hope they help!
write to the companies and ask.
I am so glad I don't drink Fanta.I wasn't aware of that though . They should have to make it known on the label!! Stick to 'Adam's ale' i e water!!
trace and "processing" products do not have to be listed in ingredients lists.
For example, a lot of bread is baked in tins greased with animal fats - these woudl nto be listed on the ingredients lists.
If it doesn't say "sutiabel for veggies" on the label then you either have to be 100% sure you know the source of all the ingredients or you have to have heard it from the manufacturer.
It seems like a lot of hassle, but really the weekly shopping is onyl 10 minutes longer than a diet where people don't look at labels.
I find manufacturers are very helpful when you ask politely.
