Do all "chewy" candies have gelatin?!
Answers: Is it safe to say that all or most "chewy" candies contain gelatin??
No.
Some chewy candies depend on the transformation of sugar molecules. Like saltwater taffy for example depends on sugar reaching a temperature of ~280F (soft crack stage), nougat and gumdrops at ~260 (hard ball stage), and lokum aka turkish delights at ~250F (soft ball stage), etc...
Talking about turkish delights, it gelatinizes due to starch (like cornstarch). This happens because starch molecules are forced to soak up water, de-crystallizing starch into a random structures. Think of gelatinous rice, pasta, or even lumps in gravy. It's chewy, but does not contain gelatin. Jelly belly is dependent on these modified starches!!!
Pectin is made from apples, which sorta has the properties like gelatin. You will obviously find pectin in canned cranberry sauce. Some candies like jujubes or gumdrops depend on this ingredient as a gelatin alternative.
I would place a safe bet that most clear chewy candies like gummy bears and worms have gelatin. But I would suggest that you still read the ingredient list to make sure.
NOPE NOT ALL OF THEM
Most do. You have to check the labels. Even if you find a brand that doesn't use beef gelatin there's no guarantee that they won't start using it... it's a bummer.
If you're talking about gummy candies, I'd say yeah. If it's chewy because it has caramel, then probably no. But it really depends. I'd check labels closely, especially if you're allergic.
there is a chewie candy called sharkies that runners use.
They are fruit based and like jujubes but I think they are rice based and used as energy when running.

They are kosher also.
Read the labels I am sure there is something and stay away from marshmallows - not chewy but gelatin.
All of the "gummi" type candies seem to have gelatin. But jelly beans and Dots and similar are just made with sugar and/or corn syrup.
It's hard to tell, you really have to read the ingredients.
I think you just have to read labels. From what I can tell, Sour Cherry Blasters and Fuzzy Peaches don't have gelatin, neither do some jellybeans. Almost all gummy worms do though :-(
yes coz like, 99.9% of them do. read the packets
yes, unless they are labled vegan
Not all chewy candies has gelatin.
Sour Patch Kids are vegan and I absolutely love them.
Check out this site for more info on which candies are vegan friendly.

Most, yes. All, no.
Sweedish fish are also vegan. I eat those and Sour Patch Kids.
As for jellybeans- Most flavors of Jelly Bellies are vegan and all are vegetarian. Starburst jelly beans are vegan.
Many of them do, especially those like Gummie Bears. One _really_ has to read labels as a vegetarian, because I've found Dannon and Yoplait yogurts to also contain gelatin (!).
I think the Jelly Belly brand of jelly beans is okay, based on packaging I've read, and this info:

However, one has to consider colors and other additives. Here's a company that offers organic and natural alternatives:

This online vendor provides options that use pectin as the 'gummifier,' as in the 'Sweet Organics' line:

Happy hunting, and munching! :-)
No, most do, but I found gummy bears with pectin once (and sadly, only once.) Mambas are like Starburst, but without the gelatin. And Jelly Bellys don't have gelatin.
Laffy taffy doesn't.
Nope..
Sour Patch Doesnt..
and so doesnt Swedish Fish
most of them do, but some dont...a few types of "fuzzy peaches" dont and the the mini sour patch kids they sell at halloween dont either.
