Can we say something nice about each other here?!
I'll start:
Meaters:
Heeeeeere's cookie me - You have the ability to come up with questions that are genuinely thought-provoking, which is extremely rare here.
Dichotomymom - Even though I disagree with you on almost every point, you say everything with such intelligence and class, it's impossible not to like you.
Vegers:
Krister - You pull no punches. You don't give diplomatic answers to try and please everyone. Your comments are direct, succinct, and bold without being insulting (usually).
Jenasauraus - You always give long, well thought-out answers, even to questions meant only to stir the pot. You are intelligent, compassionate, and willing to stand up when others don't.
Ok, now you guys try.
Answers: I've noticed a lot of hostility between members on this forum lately (not so much today, but it's still early). I thought, as an experiment to mend the fences, we could all say something nice about at least one meater and at least one veger.

Omnis:
Cookie Me - Thank you for making my head hurt... in a good way. You create some of the most thought provoking questions on this forum, and even though most of your questions are aimed at vegans, I still enjoy adding my two cents.
Traceilicious - Thank you for always answering questions in a thoughtful, courteous manner. Even though you may have a differing opinion, I have never seen you insult another Y!A member or partake in a flame war. We need more people like you in the V&V section.
Veggies:
Veganomicon - Thank you for reminding us to be nice to one another. We have too much anger in this forum, a forum which was originally intended to help people. I probably earned some good karma today because of your post.
Ashley - Thank you for reminding us how immoral we are, and for setting the bar higher and higher in your quest for an ultimately vegan world (of which you should govern, of course).
well.
i guess this is meat vs vegi isle?
I for the most part eat exclusivly vegi and fruits.. healthy foods..
however..
sometimes..
i just crave a big fat juice medium rare steak.
gotta love it.
altho i appreciate your beliefs.. and think it is wrong to kill for the sport of it.
You just cant beat sucking the bone marrow out of something that has only been dead for a few days
What an excellent idea....positive thinking.
Well, I don't have any names but....
vegers-
I'm glad you like your vegetables so much. I have to agree most of them taste pretty good.
meaters-
I thank you for not letting the cow and chicken population go crazy and try to overthrow us.
um...I guess that's a start. Peace ya'll!
Thanks, I genuinely enjoy these q and a's because most of the people on here are passionate and want to educate (some meaters and most veggies)....the fact that I was vegan at one time is why I started coming here (I enjoy meatless dinners now and then). The veggies here simply want to live the way they see fit and feel they have some sense of enlightment that others might benefit from.....sharing what you know and love is sometimes your greatest gift to others!
Am I wrong to like both meat and veggies?! I love veggies in a soup with just a little meat for flava. I don't bash you if you don't eat meat, don't bash me if I do. OK, friends.
I agree with this so much. There are so many negative responses that it is a shame, and some days it seems like war between omnis and veggies. I actually rec'd a very nice email from one respected member in here thanking me for being considerate to purchase our beef from a local farmer, not out of the grocery store. This decision was a direct result of spending time here. I have learned a lot from all of you.
Omnis:
Me- You are one of my most fav. friends in here. You ask questions, I have never even heard of and I have learned from you! Thanks for always having my back!
Meg- I think your answers are funny and you seem to ahve very good values. I still remember your story of helping after Katrina. Very nice, I wish more people were like you.
Veggers:
J.R. Thank you for the compliment! I try hard to give answers, that while reflect my own opion, do not come off as know it all or anything. You to are one of my favorites in here. You are always very positive!!
Michael H- I value your expertise and niceness. I with more people knoew as much a you and could help their little corner of the world out more like you do. You are an inspiration!
Class By Herself: Ashley (bare shoulder, short hair one) Even though you are annoying troll, I do find myself LMAO at your questions. Thank you for the entertainment value.
BTW, on a personal note. We, here in Cincy, lost one of Baseballs all time greats, Joe Nuxhall last night. He was an inspiration to everyone in Cincinnati and to anyone he met. I actually cried this morning when I found out the news. He is up for election into the Baseball HOF. If anyone would care to take time and go to their website and vote for the Ole' Lefthander it would be much appreciated. I wish the baseball players today had an ounce of his class. He will be missed by all.
God Bless!
I also forgot to add Janet to my list of people to thank, she is always a good buddie to. She and I can always agree to disagree on things. Thanks bud!
I truly enjoy Reading each and every one of your question and answers.
I think meat eaters have some very good points on why they eat meat. Some have religious reasons other just feel that God put them hear for us to survive.
I think vegetarians are full of compassion for those who don't have a voice and are contributing greatly to the preservation of our world
First off I'd like to say that any hostility that I feel passes almost instantly. In a text world like this, the reader is the one who supplies the inflection and attitude of a post most of the time. Sometimes, posts are taken the wrong way. I never mean to offend anyone but I know it happens.
I think a certain set of people here have shown that even though we disagree we can co-exist and make each other smarter.
Now...LOL
traut: While we don't always agree you have always been civil. New avatar is better than the old one too ;-)
Trace: Anytime :-)
You're a sweetheart and it's easy to see why you're well liked by both sides of the fence. I look forward to your posts.
Janet: You always give good answers and are friendly too. I like sharing thoughts with you.
J.R.: Sorry about your head....LOL. You have a great sense of humor and always remind "me" too never be too serious.
Lady Magic: I've never seen you before but Good Answer!
Krister: You're crazy dude and I mean that in a good way! Proof that any combo here can get along if they try.
michael h: I give you hell but appreciate your input.
Ashley: Crack me up. Keep up the good work!
shelly, Jena and jenny: I appreciate your willingness to give "me" a chance.
M & M: I appreciate your friendliness. It's good to have some people who don't want to kill you...LOL
majnun: Great answers on an even keel, I respect what you say.
I'm sure I forgot more than one of you but suffice it to say I like everyone and enjoy our "interaction".
OK, back to our regularly scheduled program!!
Veganomicon, you are a people pleasing, wishy-washy weiner ... but a veggie weiner though.
Is that nice enough?
Ok
Omnivores:
Tracelicious (red earrings); not sure what brought you here, assume it's just an interest in people as you are one of the few on here, of any persuasion, with no apparent agenda to push, and one of the few honest or gracious enough to admit to having changed your stance on something.
Me-; came to mock I think, but stayed to discuss. But even when mocking never stoops to playground insults like 'they smell, they're stupid' or supposed insults like 'they're gay' as certain others do. Your willingness to actually discuss points makes it not matter so much that you gave all the trolls the 'true vegan' idea to cling to.
Veg*ns:
Michael H - has to put up with a lot of sh*t from the trolls, so he must be doing something right. Informed and informative.
Krister - no diplomat he! Takes no prisoners. Really look forward to his answers.
Good God man, what on earth are you rabbiting about? Dont you think its best to allow others to answer their own answers how they see fit, and not have the likes of you laying down the law. Who tells you what to write and think?
Have a nice weekend (polite enough?)
