Are these veggie "Chick'n Burgers" still good?!

Question: I'm not a full vegetarian but I am actively trying to eat less meat. Last weekend I bought some soy chicken burgers at the grocery store, and noticed yesterday that they expired on Nov. 12th (I know, stupid grocery store and stupid me for not checking the date). I have very little experience with soy products, but I know some things are good at lasting beyond their expiry date - so will these still be good?

You don't say if they are frozen or refrigerated. If frozen there is no question that they are still ok. Usually the date is a "best when used by" date and the store has had them longer than you. Worst case is they will lose a little flavor but it is not a spoilage or human health issue.
If refrigerated the burger will definitely be somewhat less flavorful, however once again if you kept them refrigerate all the time and did not let them sit out then there should not be a spoilage issue and definitely will not be a human health issue.
Having said all of the above, if they smell spoiled (especially if refrigerated) I wouldn't eat them.

ok refrigerated. If they were kept cold then my advice still holds unless they smell spoiled

As long as there is no tell tale signs of deteriating you should be ok . just make sure everything is piping hot.

if their frozen as they should be then they should be fine

November 12 was only a few days ago, so I think you are safe if you eat it.

But... if you want to play it safe, go back to the grocery store and exchange it for a newer package.

If they were frozen, I would probably warm one up and see how it looked/tasted before deciding. If they're refrigerated, I'd probably just exchange.
