Why does boxed wine taste better than expensive wine in bottles?!

Question: Don't be a wine snob - her taste buds are not broken. They are just different from yours.

It tastes better because you like it better. I bet you would like some of the sweeter white wines like some reislings, lambrusco, or maybe some dessert wines. However, if you like the box stuff drink it to your heart's content - it stays fresh longer and its generally cheaper so you're saving money over the stuff I like that costs 20-30 and only lasts 3 days.

It's not as strong.

I wouldn't necessarily agree that boxed wine tastes better than many (most?) wines when the bottle is freshly opened. However, the boxed wine keeps better because the container is a bladder that doesn't allow oxygen in, unlike a bottle, so the wine stays fresher in a box bladder than in a bottle.

your taste buds are broken

Because you like the wine thats comes in the box.

Everyone has a different taste for wines. A $1000 bottle of wine to someone who does not like the taste does not make it better then a $21 bottle of wine, just makes it more expensive.

I would not spend $1000 on a bottle of wine that I did not like the taste but I would spend $1000 on 5 cases of $21 wine that tasted good to me

ever try thunder bird? shoots!

They may have added some sugar and some kind of preservative to make the wine taste good for drinking.
