So, i'm not the most innocent.?!

Question: i've smoke cigarettes and drank for a while now.
i'm not an alcoholic.
seeing as i'm underage, i can't get ahold of it very easily.
cigarettes however, are a breeze.

my parents, who ride me constantly have always said that out of all the trouble i've gotten myself into, they're just glad i don't do the things i do. but, my opinion is, that they're the ones that have driven me to the drastic measures i have taken.

i have gotten drunk on occassions. not enough to have a serious problem. but, still.

should i tell them.
i mean, they'll eventually find out that i smoke. right?
it'd be better if i was upfront with them. wouldn't it?

Honesty is the best policy despite the consequences.

I will reiterate what others have said though (and i am a struggling, older smoker) Tobacco is evil, it does nothing for you, it's entire purpose as a product is to make you dependant on it. If you have to smoke tobacco, smoke natural tobacco from the plant, which, even though it's illegal doesn't have nearly the amount of chemicals or nicotine injected into it.

At your age you will suffer minimum withdrawels if you pull away from it now, it willl get harder every day you smoke, it is more physically addictive then heroin, and that is a fact. You wouldn't take heroin would you???

Drugs are not all bad and can provide pleasant experiences, but don't be hooked, stay a casual 'tryer' and remember that no other drugs are more toxic, more deadly, more addictive and cause more problems than alchohol and tobacco. So be careful. Drink occasionally, never smoke ciggies, have a bit of weed on quiet occasions and maybe dip into the amphetamines or exctacy for the odd weekend out and you'll live a long, exciting and happy life- but regular use of any of these drugs will destroy the quality of your life -trust me on this, i've seen it happen to many of my friends.

don't smoke its just gross

if you die early then ohhh well

stop doing that stuff to your body. your too young

parents will flip for underage drinking no matter what. If you are drinking just be safe stay at a trusted friends house don't get in a car with someone else who has been drinking. Keep your grades up and don't give them a reason to ride you you'll be an adult soon enough.

Yes, you should tell your parents.
Its better for you to be honest and tell them the truth, then for them finding out and know you were lying.

wouldnt you prefer parents that ride you or ones that dont give a crap..driving you to drink is a poor excuse to smoking and drinking....if that were the case then why dont you drive yourself to quit..??? time to grow up and get real...

smoaking is kinda nasty, and i never smoke unless i am drinking, and then it is ususaly, a black and mild cigar, which actually taste quite good, or something else but were not going there, i am in the same boat as u. i got cought this summer with a beer can or three in my room and i told her i only drank at home and i had gotten these really old beers out of the back of the fridge, which was true, but i hardly ever drink at home alone, i am always out and w/ people doing the things my mom is afrade i will do, and if i told my mom what happend then she would be pissed and a lot more people than just me would be getting their asses kicked and maybe even put in jail, so don't tell them think of other people than ur self, just be safe when u do the stupid stuff
