Gas station ID check question?!
I've always wondered, Thanks!
Answers: Heres my question. Im 22 and I drink(yay skyy) but I always get carded. What does the clerk type in on the cash register when they check my drivers license?
I've always wondered, Thanks!
i can tell you from a few years of cashier / customer serivce experiance. They are typing in your date of birth, mostly bc companies assume the cashier cant do the math in his head to figure out whos 21.Even tho many stores have a date thing that tell you
it's your birth date.
your birthday
The clerk types in your birthdate. It proves
1) they checked you're ID, and
2) you're the proper age in order to make the purchase.
my mom works at a gasstation but they have a little machine thing that tells if they are old enough or not..but it is probobly just the birthdate...
being a cashier i can tell you that we type in the date of birth and the cashregister basically does the math and if its not within set dates it will say that the person is to young and deny the sale
I work at Quick Trip and I have worked at Murphys.. We scan the ID's with our eyes and if the age looks good we type eithor 11/11/111 or 99/99/9999 EVERYONE does it.. lol.. Hope this helps
