World's most popular ALCOHOLIC drink?!
And if it isn't what number in the list would wine place, e.g. 2nd, 3rd etc.
Answers: Is it wine?

If you are referring to consumption, then I would have to disagree. My reasoning is this: China and India don't have a wine drinking culture. Yet they do have a drinking culture - in india the most popular drink is still whisky (whiskey), and by that measure, Johnny Walker Black Label is probably the most popular brand.
There are several "home brand" whiskys in China. While there is no clear winner, its still whisky which is the must pupular, followed a close second by Rice Wine (or perhaps, some would say, Moonshine). Previously moonshine would have taken the number one spot, but because of years of people turning blind, poor manufacturing, and the govt finally getting the message through, the Chinese have finally turned to whisky in the past 10 years or so.
Looking then towards the african continent, again, you find Whisky (and again, its good ol' Johnny) is number one. The only exception is Nigeria, where Guiness has overtaken the consumption per capita (no, I'm not kidding - google it. Guiness even have a manufacturing plant in Nigeria now).
I don't want to offend anyone, but saying the answer is Wine because "its been around since biblical times" does not count as evidence, sorry.
Wine would be my guess too. It seems that a lot of different countries have their own.
Wine, for sure. It's been around since Biblical times.
1 wine
2 beer
3 vodka
Wine period
Im going with beer. It's an all around anytime any occassion thing.
Wines are usually dinner and special occassion (although Europeans do enjoy wine as much as beer for most occassions)
I do partake in wine more than beer myself!
Found this on business wire:
Beer Remains The Most Popular Type Of Alcoholic Drink , But It Is Losing Ground To Wine
Wine, followed by forms of beer.
I would say rum and coke.
depends where you are, Ireland is whiskey and Scotch,Italy is wine, and the United States is beer.Germany is also big on beer drinking.
I think it would be beer
Rum and coke would be second ...... I think, but I'm no expert. I'm a vodka girl myself
I would say beer is the most popular drink.
Beer!!!
The Brewers of Europe - President Mr Piero Perron said: “Beer is the most popular alcoholic drink in the world and there are many positive health benefits associated with moderate consumption. Beer is a nutritious drink made from cereal, which contributes to people’s health, yet there is a common misconception that only red wine is good for you.”
At the previous two Beer and Health symposia organised by the Brewers of Europe scientists confirmed that beer plays a part, along with other alcoholic drinks, in reducing the risk of heart disease and discussed the significance of preliminary evidence of benefits unique to beer. This 3rd Beer and Health Symposium provided an overview of the latest research into the proven and potential health benefits of moderate beer consumption
and Second for Wine!!!
