How do you make an at home margarita taste like a restaurant's (with no mixes!)?!

Question:

How do you make an at home margarita taste like a restaurant's (with no mixes!)?

Answers:
The longer the zest and juice mixture is allowed to steep, the more developed the citrus flavors in the finished margaritas. I recommend steeping for the full 24 hours, although the margaritas will still be great if the mixture is steeped only for the minimum 4 hours. If you're in a rush and need to serve margaritas immediately, omit the zest and skip the steeping process altogether.

4 teaspoons grated zest plus ? cup juice from 2 to 3 medium limes
4 teaspoons grated zest plus ? cup juice from 2 to 3 medium lemons
? cup superfine sugar
Pinch salt
2 cups crushed ice
1 cup 100 percent agave tequila, preferably reposado
1 cup Triple Sec

Combine lime zest and juice, lemon zest and juice, sugar, and salt in large liquid measuring cup; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until flavors rneld, 4 to 24 hours.
Divide 1 cup crushed ice between 4 or 6 Margarita or double old-fashioned glasses. Strain juice mixture into 1-quart pitcher or cocktail shaker. Add tequila, Triple Sec, and remaining crushed ice; stir or shake until thoroughly combined and chilled, 20 to 60 seconds. Strain into ice-filled glasses; serve immediately.

Yield: makes about 1 quart, serving 4 to 6.

Fresh Strawberry Margarita
If you tire of the dry taste of a traditional lime margarita, you can switch it for the sweeter taste of a strawberry version

2 lime wedges or slices

* salt or granulated sugar for the rim
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1/2 tsp sugar, or to taste
1 1/2 oz tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz triple sec or Cointreau
1 cup ice cubes
* whole fresh strawberry

Rub the rim of a margarita or martini glass with one of the lime wedges or slices.

Dip rim of the glass into sugar. Combine remaining ingredients, except lime wedge or slice and whole strawberry, in a blender and pulse until smooth.

Pour into glass and garnish with a whole berry and a lime slice.

got this recipe from a friend who is an award winning bartender. I use the strawberry one at home. Just playing around, I got that one

1 Blender full of ice
3 parts tequila
1 part Controu (Orange Liqueur) Triple Sec
1 Small can Minute maid Lime Juice
Blend and serve

2 oz. Cuervo 1800 tequila (or other good quality tequila)
1/2 oz. Grand Marnier (or triple sec if you'd rather)
2 oz. lime juice
This makes a good margarita. This is of course an on the rocks type-if you like a little more sweetness, you can add 1 tblsp. of powdered sugar. Shake well and pour into a salt rimmed glass.
