The best method i know is to pour the liqid into freezer proof tray and freeze.
After about 4 hrs, remove carefully and sieve into another tray.
This removes about 1/3 of the water/flavoring.
Repeat.

Be very careful when consuming.

by boiling it, anytime you cook with wine or alcohol the alcohol evaporates

Go buy a bottle of Everclear. Pure grain goodness and probably less expensive than ruining a perfectly good whisky.

If you do what the above poster suggests, you will simply lose the alcohol. You need a distilling setup to trap the alcohol vapors.

But I'd be careful. You can easily poison yourself with booze this heavily concentrated.

That would be distilling and it's illegal without the proper permits.

it sounds to me like you have a bigger problem than how to get the liquor out....seek help!

So far as I'm concerned I leave it with my liquor partner.

Probably the quickest way would be to burn the alcohol off. Set the booze in a heavy pan and ignite.

Like I said, probably the quickest. i do not recommend doing this indoors. Keep away from all things flammable and keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Oh by the way....most girlfriends don't like us drinking.

If you just want alcohol, without the flavour, try Vodka. Now connoisseurs of vodka will tell you that each vodka has a distinct flavour, but in my opinion the flavour is so subtle that you don't really notice it.
