What is a US bourbon that is difficult to come by in the UK, and how could one ship it there from the US?!

Question: I have a friend that lives in London and loves bourbon. I'd like to get him a bottle of something from the US that he won't likely find in his local pub. Then, of course, I've go to get it to him. I'm open to ordering online and shipping to the UK. If it's not obvious, I'm in the US. Many thanks in advance.

I knew as soon as I saw this question someone would say Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels IS NOT BOURBON. It is Tennessee sour mash whiskey. Besides Jack Daniels is one you would find behind a regular bar anywhere in the world. Some of the better Bourbons I have found would be Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek, Makers Mark (another common one though). You can get good ideas from http://www.straightbourbon.com

the best bubon in my opinion is har to find in the US also its called reble yell it is a kuntuky burbon. as far as the shipping gose id just go to the local post master and find out if there is anything special you have to do to send it via us mail

One of the best known and sold bourbons is "Jack Daniels". Shipping should be no prob.

I can't help you with what to get but i can tell you that Knob Creek, Maker's Mark and Rebel Yell are all on sale where i live(NW London), but if you cant find something he can't get send him Maker's Mark-that's the one i'd have.

Woodford Reserve is a small batch bourbon that's very respected in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. Their products can be easily ordered on line or by phone and shipped to London (or 50 other cities worldwide). Contact them at 1-877-SPIRITS.com. If you're ever in the Lexington, KY area, this is a great place to see and experience!
