Ways to tolerate Vodka?!
Answers: I can stomach all other kinds of hard liquor very well but anything more than a shot of vodka and i get a terrible headache and the spins. Anyone know of any tricks or tips on how to become more tolerant? Particularly I would like to enjoy a couple of Bloody Mary's.
with some juice
it's nice with orange juice or something...
Your question is strange as vodka is the only pure alcohol. Rum, Tequila, Gin, Whiskey, all have tons of additives in them, some harmless but some not. Beer has around 16 additives.
Hmmm.
Perhaps if you tried one from the top shelf that is filtered more than once? I am particularly partial to an imported UK brand called "Three Olives" myself. Gray Goose is another good brand that comes to mind. I have never tried the Russian Vodkas, but I imagine their top shelf brands are every bit as good.
I usually buy Seagrams triple distilled because it is also very smooth and less expensive.
I imagine that if you stay away from the cheap stuff you will be fine.
well, i am an American living in the vodka capital of the world...Russia!!!. i can tell you that you need to drink premium vodka. Russians wont touch the crap we have in America...Smirnoff, Grey goose, etc.etc....try and drink Russian vodka. also, eat while you drink...eating and drinking here is a sport, and i never get sick as long as i eat while drinking. also, drink the vodka ice cold...this is very important. it will mellow out the vodka and make it very smooth...cheers, hope this helps
why tolerate it? listen to your body it doesn't like vodka so drink what your body can tolerate.
vodka, cranberry juice and lime mmmmmmmmm salt the rim too!
I drink cuz I enjoy the smell and taste of various drinks. Why make such a treat something tolerable ........ if you cannot tolerate it, leave it alone. There are sooooooooo many drinks around. I like to have a gin and tonic every once in awhile, but gin really gives my stomach a hard time, so I just don't bother with it. I am totally a vodka girl.
Stop drinking the cheap ****
Try some Grey Goose or Bellvadeer(wrong spelling)
Kettle One is my favorite
