Answers:
No. If you're here, in America, then you're following our rules, which are no alcohol under 21.

Now, I know that there are instances where you're allowed to drink at home, if given it by your parents. I do not know the specifics and I am not responsible for anything you do because I am no legal expert, but I know growing up kids who were allowed to drink wine, etc., due to family tradition/religious reasons and that is generally allowed, not to mention cops don't patrol dinner tables.

No 21 in the U.S.

No, she's in the US so she's gotta follow their laws

21 only. in the US, it doesn't matter where you're from. of course you violate laws!

No under the age of 21; no one can drink in the USA and this is ALL the States in the USA.

You're not allowed to drink here until you're 21, but that doesn't stop us! As long as no cops see you go ahead. It's not legal though.

brit. you cant drink alcolhol unless you are 21

In the US you have to be 21 to drink. It doesn't matter where you are from, you must always obey the laws of where you are at. Sorry!

If your in the United States, doesnt matter where your from, in America you have to be 21 to drink, if your caught drinking even with a guardian, your guardian will get a fine or even arrested.

In the US, it is illegal to drink PERIOD if you are under 21.
It doesn't matter who you are with.

Although that doesn't really stop anyone.
Clubs and places won't serve you without an ID that proves you're 21+.

no
when in rome do as the romans do
u can probably buy a machine gun or tank

excuse me, "or the u.k.'s rule. which is drink 5 glasses of alcohol only"
you gotta be kidding.

no, she can't.
it's illegal for her to have it.
it's illegal for anyone to give it to her.

am i being too obtuse here?

Probably not. I'm English and thought it was 18 years old in the UK anyway... unless under parental supervision (and even that's been in the news recently as perhaps too liberal).

So you're gonna have to wait till your 21 if your staying in the US, but you can console yourself by having loads of free wild and rampant legal *** whilst you wait - i think (providing your over 16).

when you visit another country that country laws apply to you the UK rules only apply in the UK

No!!

The age for drinking legally in the US is 21.

So under no circumstances would you be allowed to drink alcohol, it doesn't matter who is with you.....

While in the US you have to abide by their laws.

Can you tell me which UK law says that someone age 17 can drink 5 glasses of alcohol only??

Because I've never heard of it, and again I'm sorry to say that unless you are 18 you are breaking our law.

I've had a quick scroll down the page, and have spotted, I think, where you may have heard about the exception in the US if accompanied by parent or guardian.......... but read on, as it does say that most states don't allow it.

Hope this helps

She can, but not legally.

no

no i think you have to be 21 my son went last year and he is 25 and was still asked for i.d

Wow....Your guardian could get in a lot of trouble if you were caught drinking, not to mention the person who supplied you with the alcohol.

Here, there are many many sick people who like to take advantage of girls who have been drinking. I'd do yourself and your guardian a favor, and don't drink.

All 50 states the age is 21 if they are residents of the states or not. If someone is caught providing alcohol to a person underage they can be arrested and the penalities are usually severe and can range anywhere from a large fine to actual jail time. They are really trying to crack down on underage drinking

No in most states in the USA you can not drink under the age of 21,and in the rest of the states it is 25 if you are caught the police do not take it lightly if you are breaking the law whether you are a visitor or American

Since when did the UK have a rule that 17 year olds can drink 5 glasses of alcohol only?
In the UK the rule is that under-18s should not be in a pub or bar drinking alcohol at all.
I know it happens, but you're still breaking the law in the UK by doing it.
And when you're in the USA, you follow their rules.

You've gotta be 21 to drink in the US. Only celebs seem to get away with drinking underage these days.

illegal in the u.s. and illegal in the uk..you are supposed to be 18 here...and 21 there..so yes, technically...you are violating the law.
