Should I store Irish Cream in the fridge after it's been opened?

...or can I just put the cap back on and leave it in the cupboard? What's the shelf life?

Ok, I saw this question yesterday and I wanted to be clear about it.
Bars and restaurants NEVER refridgerate their irish cream, and they don't have to.
Here's what I found:

When sealed, for best results store Irish Cream in temperatures that range from 41oF/5oC to 70oF/21oC. After being opened, it is best to store this liqueur in refrigerated conditions to lengthen the life and preserve the flavor, consuming it within 4 months of opening. However, Irish cream manufacturers state it is unnecessary to refrigerate opened bottles because the alcohol acts as a natural preservative. If kept in unrefrigerated areas, it is suggested that the cream liqueur be stored away from heat and sunlight in cool to mild temperatures. Irish cream "best taste before" or "best used by" dates are printed on the bottles to indicate shelf life, which is generally 14 to 18 months but some manufacturers guarantee their product for 24 months from date of manufacturing.

I've always kept mine at room temperature and it lasts for months. It's alcohol so it really doesn't go bad as far as I know.

Yes, and I find it better to serve and drink with a cube of ice and more scotch in it

I keep mine refrigerated, but I'd drink it if it had been left out, so what does that tell you, hm?

Where I live (ironically it is called Cool,) the temperatures indoors can exceed 100 degreees, so whomever gave me a thumbs down can go pound sand.
