What is it like to work in a hotel as a bartender ?!

Question:

What is it like to work in a hotel as a bartender ?

versus anywhere else really

Answers:
It is a great job. It has excellent benefits that include free uniforms and no cost laundering, free cafeteria and all your soda and coffee is free at work. You get meet people from all over the world without traveling. There is a large wine list and hundreds of liquors. The pay is union wage and the union has excellent health, eye and dental benefits.

There are too many supervisors that are not proactive. There are guests who are difficult and have an inflated sense of self importance. Guests ask the bartenders for everything from the best places locals go to have a good time to hoe long it will take to get someplace I have never been.

It is a rewarding job if you like people, realize that you are a professional and comport yourself as one. And it is not a job you take home with you...unless you are lucky ;).
