What type of grapes make the best wine?!

Question:

What type of grapes make the best wine?

Answers:
There are very many species of grape vines, which include many native to America, and some of these are used for making wine.

However, most people think that the best grapes for making wine from is from just one species -- the European Vitis Vinifera.

Vinifera vines include all the famous ones, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel (reds) Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling (white).

That is the easy answer to you open question.

Which Vitis Vinifera grapes produce the best wines is a much more difficult question, because everyone has their favourites, but I reckon that the varieties I named above would be in anyones list of top varieties.

Tons of grapes make excellent wines. It really depends on your palate. Here are some examples of grapes:
pinot grigio
pinot gris
pinot noir

Charrdonay
champange
cambernet saviognnon
Cabernet franc
Pinot blanc
riesling
Pinot Meunier

and many more

Also in Germany they somtimes let the grape rot (noble rot or botrytis cinerea). It concentrates the the sugar so its sweeter
