Is it ok to leave beer un-refrigerated?!

Question:

Is it ok to leave beer un-refrigerated?

yea till the day before you are going to have it then you dump into into the fridge... does the keeping-at-room-temperature harm the quality of the beer? In Singapore, room temp is no where like the states... we are talking about 31-32 degrees celcius or the equivalent of about 89-90 degrees farenheit.

Answers:
Keep in the coolest and darkest place possible and then chill before you drink. The sun or intense heat will make it nasty. If it is exposed to heat and chilled and heated and chilled the skunkiness others are mentioning could make you sick. Also try not to keep it to long there are few beers that get better with age. At that high of room temperature I would try to drink it within a 1-2 weeks, month tops. Beer like any food starts to change its flavor over time.

the beer will be fine

no, and in some countries they don't drink refrigerated beer , no refrig.

No, just keep it away from a heat source, i.e. heaters, the back of the fridge or freezer, stoves, etc. Think of it this way when you go to the beer distrubutor do the refrigerate all of the beer or just some of it?

yes some like worm beer

I know many countries prefer beer warm and think cold beer is odd. But I love my beer cold and couldn't drink it any other way. But if you don't have room to keep it all in the fridge before the big day, you should be fine. Most of the beer we drink is not kept cold from the time it goes into the can until we drink it anyway!

No problem, beer is so versitile!

I am not sure to tell the truth lol. I like my beer ice cold, but in some countries the normal way to consume beer is warm, so I am guessing that it cannot hurt it to much!

That should be fine. Beer only gets a strange flavor (skunked) when it's repeatedly exposed to changes in temperature (chilling it, letting it warm up, chilling again, etc.) Keeping it at room temp until the day before you serve it shouldn't be a problem.

Absolutely not! Leaving your beer at temperatures that high will make it skunky! The fermentation...yeast...hot... UGH! The only beer you can leave at THAT temp and not affect it is Coors light. Coors light has such a high urine content that it is impervious to temperature, time, radiation, and qaulity. It is, in fact, the worst beer in the world because of its high concentration of urine. And when you take into account the number of Mexican beers that are made from their municipal water supply, we're obviously talking about a LOT of piss. Somewhere around 94.5 percent, I think. That sounds about right.

I would suggest you keep it in the coldest part of the house.
