It’s your round: buy a pint and save a piece of Britain?!

Question: The lights are going out all over Britain. We shall not see them lit again in our lifetime. Or possibly ever. The British pub is under threat. An institution adored and envied all over the world is disappearing before our very eyes and with it our national drink, beer.

I bought five just last night. Its the smoking ban that's ruining the pub trade now faster than anything has done before it, and nothing more complicated than that.

i agree lets all have a few beers and keep the pub alive

same thing happening in Ireland i blame the price of the pint plus its way cheaper to buy beer in an off license

It's not that people don't want a pint , it's just that pubs are ripping us of big time.
£3 for a beer or £20 for 54 cans or bottles which would you choose

i blame the smoking ban.

The smoking ban, tax on beer, chavs in the pub and the high rents that the breweries charge are all making it harder and harder for landlord/ladies to earn a living
