Gourmet beer? I think that's an oxymoron. Now wine: that's another story. We have gourmet wines here in Australia, cheaper then the French. Oh, except Grange Hermitage, which is considered Australia's top wine, the current release about $300, and previous vintages bring $1000s at auction.

True good beers like Belgiums and Barley Wines can be found in most higher end liquor stores. Most beer only stores can't carry them cause they are higher alcohol levels... at least in my state.
