Something new, funky and different.
NO ARBOUR MIST OR FRUIT FLAVOURED WINES.

Try Pinotage -- look for an Estate wine from South Africa (not some cheap shippers label).
Or you may find a California Pinotage -- say Fort Ross, Sutter Ridge, J WInery, Steltzner and Vino Con Brio are some of the good names

If you like sweet wines, try a Riesling or a Lambrusco. Those are my two personal favorites. Riesling is a white wine and a Lambrusco is a red wine.
Cabernet savignonuvinon mixed with a warm Merlot
wild irish rose or thunderbird
If your in the northest try an ice wine if you don't mind sweet.
Chile makes great red wines.
Tocai from Slovakia or Hungry
If you haven't tried this organic Cabernet Sauvignon, you should give it a try. It's a bargain.
De Martino 2005 Organic Cabernet Sauvignon - Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Maipo Valley are blended with Malbec and Carmenère grapes to produce a deep red wine with violet hues and an intense aroma of blackberry, cherries and truffle. Great volume and cherry flavor. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Ideal served with pasta, red meat, and aged cheese. ($11.99)
if you gave your location (state?) it might be easier to suggest a good local wine. personally, i enjoy a Finger Lakes wine called "Bully Hill Walter S. Red" it is a semi-dry that has a lightly sweet and crisp finish, great for white or red meat dishes, or even social hour! It is also very inexpensive, around $8 a bottle in Pennsylvania.
CigarZin. M. Cosantino. Beautiful big flavors with strong undernotes. Changes as the minutes go by. $27. not to be taken lightly. also Wolf Blass 2003 Shiraz, fruit and berries yet complex, very big. Go for the CigarZin. You won't be disappointed.
Well, the open bottle in my fridge tonight is a Riesling Icewine from Coyote's Run Estate Winery which is located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. I have to say that I am loving it right now but if you don't like sweet wines, this may not be for you.
