I understand Guinness are promoting their Guinness Red to convert more of the uninitiated to Guinness drinking. I suggest that. Haven't tried it myself as no drink could possibly better than Guinness Original Stout.

Try the new Beaujolais Nouveau. The George Debouf is the most widely available and is very good this year. Set you back about $10. And, as a young wine (they were still picking these grapes last month) it is very light and fruity (but not sweet)

Asda are doing an own brand Syrah, which is also nice.

I keep a 3litre box, of Cabernet/Syrah, by J.P. Chenet, for the times when I just want a glass, rather than opening a bottle.
It keeps for months and is really convenient.
Cheers!!!

A Australian red called the delver it is 15% and the word Delver is used because that is the name of the plough they use in the vineyards

If you access to it, you should definitely try to get a bottle of muscadine red!!!! It is so delicious! And if you don't HAVE to have red, I personally like muscadine white even better!

I'm sure this is a long shot, but if you're ever in Gatlinburg, TN, you should definitely go wine tasting at the Smoky Mountain Winery. That's where I was introduced to these!
