What can I drink on a night out which does not have the same calories as beer and wine, don't say juice!?!


Question: I am purposely trying to avoid night's out as I know I will have a beer or two. I dont neccesarily have to avoid drinks at all, but would like to opt for a lower cal, drink. maybe whiskey and water?

I'd go with Gin, Rum or vodka and either soda water, or diet soda (pop) they have the least carbs. Watching what you eat when you get a buzz is paramount as well though. If you like beer, lite looks good carb wise and some of the wines aren't bad either.

I work in a sports bar and some of the newer almost carb free beer and wines are very popular among the younger set.

how about tangeray (gin) and tonic??? tonic or soda water has virtually no calories..... water is good too but ig you do gin and tonic, you can add a few lemons or limes for flavor!!

Don't know the calorie content but what about cider?

any of the white spirits topped up with plenty of diet mixer. Don't drink them short if others are on long drinks or you will be flat out under the table. I always alternate between an alcoholic drink and then a soft drink which looks like the alcoholic one. e.g a gin and slimline tonic followed by a tonic with a slice of lemon. Good luck with your diet. I lost 6 stones and had a few alcoholic drinks following this rule.

7 up or club soda

Gin and tonic, rum and diet coke, sprite what ever. Also you can go with a vodka press it's 1 oz vodka, fill with soda water splash of sprite with a lime. Very few calories in a splash but atleast u will get a hint of flavor ;)
