How close did he probably come to dying?!

Question:

How close did he probably come to dying?

there was a party earlier this month for prom. and a kid thats a grade above me or a junior is 6'0 and 315 lbs. he drank 1.75 of black velvet and like 9 beers. he collapsed at was taken to the hopspital to pump his stomach. is this considered good as far as holing ur liquor or how much it took him to pass out? not good he got this drunk but is that impressive if he had that much before he finally passed out?

Answers:
Not impressive. Just stupid, dangerous, and expensive. I can't imagine why they'd pump his stomach, since it does no good in terms of the alcohol poisoning, but I'm sure it took a lot of time from the nurses and doctors in the emergency department that they could have spent treating somebody with a diagnosis other than dumbass.

there is nothing impressive about that situation. He is very lucky.

very close

Anytime you end up on a hospital table with a tube down your throat sucking stuff out, is by definition not impressive.

its stupid to drink that much

I'm impressed with his stupidity and also yours for asking these questions. Look up alcohol poisoning and learn.

That is not impressive at all. It could have been far worse, suppose he collapsed and nobody discovered him.

That is so way cool!!! Woah, getting your stomach pumped. Man, I wish I could do that.

Does that sound smart to you? Not!!! There is nothing impressive about drinking yourself into a stupor. Grow up.

Very close and even closer to permanent brain damage-though I'm not sure it would have made much difference.

I am in law enforcement, and last year there was a party in which a young man did just exactly what you described, then he went and laid down on the bed. When he was discovered, he was dead. Thats how close he was to dying. It's called alcohol poisoning.

he was lucky sounds like he was knocking on heavens door tha t much booze can kill you dead

based on his stupidity, maybe not close enough. i can't imagine someone thinking that is a good idea.
