Answers: Moon shine would be at the top but not always easy to attain 151 Rum would be the best one you can buy at a store!

180 proof whiskey

200-proof ethanol

Everclear or Bacardi 151

Straight Everclear, not quite ethanol, but close

Anything marked 100 proof has the highest alcohol content. Why ever would you want to know about ethanol? No, you can't drink it.

the stongest one i know is called 252...a shot of 151 and wild turkey...be carefull with this one...probley not the strongest but easyest to get.

Ethanol is not a beverage in and of itself. It is FOUND in alcoholic beverages. The highest amount of alcohol in a beverage being sold that I've seen is everclear, which is 190 proof, and even that is not a beverage meant for straight consumption. Drinking it would probably damage your esophagus. Consider the fact that ethanol is being used in alternative fuel cars and decide if you can drink it or not ;)

7 Star Metaxa is a Greek brandy that is 180 proof.

I would of thought everclear.........but not sure......It is strong........a bit warm going down.......

absenth, forbidden in some european countries(don't know about USA), also has some hallucinogenic features, made from wormwood.

Kiwi Strawberry Wine Coolers...man, if I have two of those bad-boys, I'm wrecked!!!

I think moonshine or absinthe are the highest..

both burn going down... Good luck on finding either one.

Why would you drink ethanol????

Moonshine...

bacardi 151 rum and everclear are almost as strong as pure rubbing alcohol

Everclear is the strongest alcohol made for consumption in the U.S. It is 190 proof or 95% alcohol. Some states do not allow that high of concentration to be sold so Everclear sells a 151 proof or 75% alcohol version in those states. Bacardi 151 is widely available and is 151 proof also. Neither of these spirits are meant for straight consumption. Everclear has a warning label on the bottle that it must be diluted before drinking. A splash of Bacardi 151 is often used on top of drinks or shots in order to set them aflame. Moonshine as others have mentioned is not only extremely difficult to find but is unlikely to reach 190 proof unless the producer is very skilled in distillation. The manufacture of moonshine is unregulated and can cause blindness or death, which is why it is illegal.

In a major liquar store I saw a some bottles of bacardi that was 90% alcohol (180 proof).
