Is Bacardi Coco equivalent to Malibu?
Do these two taste close enough to the same to substitute one for the other in drink recipes?
Answers:
Yes they are. the main difference you will find though is that malibu is 30 proof while bacardi coco is 80, So bacardi is going to pack more of a punch. It is also going to have less coconut flavor because of the higher alcohol content.

Malibu is a little sweeter but not enough to notice once other ingredients are added.
A good rule of thumb in to NEVER sub out brands, they all have a different flavor or texture.
