What is difference between a Margarita Maker and a Blender?!

Question: I want to buy something to make Margarita's with. I have seen some devices that look like blenders that cost twice as much and advertise Margarita Makers. I want to know if there is a real difference between a blender and a Margarita Maker

The "Margarators" that I've seen have a big hopper to hold the ice for multiple batches, the spout as noted above, the motor is stronger than a typical consumer blender, and the pitcher was bigger.

Marketing

As the first poster said, mainly marketing. However, there is typically a spigot in the bottom of the margarita machine for serving the drink.

Go with the blender. You'll achieve the same effect as the "margarita maker" and will be able to do much more with it, as well. I recommend Waring--it's a quality blender that we've had for years without any problems. We've had other brands and they couldn't stand up to all the ice crushing.

Blender with ice and some takeeler
add some citrus and a few good amigos.
Es todo bueno My amigo!!!
well dont just stand there
salt the rim baby!!!
