Underage drinking?!

Question:

Underage drinking?

does an underage stay on your record for your entire life? and how big of a deal is it for getting a job?

Answers:
Underage drinking is becoming a REAL problem in todays society. It will not be on your ADULT record. It will remain sealed in your juvenile record and cannot harm you in your adult life.

However if you are looking for a job while you are still underage, it can be seen. The good thing to think about is how once you become 18 it is like getting a clean slate to start over.

However, if you are already 18, the slate does not get wiped off. It will remain on your record for the rest of your life.

SO, it really depends on your age at the time of the charge!!!

Now adays a lot of employers who see your record, look at once, maybe twice, being just careless judgement as a young adult. However, if there are several of the same underage drinking charges; they may look at it as a drinking problem. And perhaps they are right or even wrong. But they are looking for the best employees that they can find. As you would if you or when you are in thier position of hiring!!

And then there are those employers who look at is as a complete and utter strike against you. For making an unacceptable decision which implies past behavior as the pattern for future behavior. And lack of capability to simply follow a basic direction of a policy.

As everything else is in life, it basically boils down to the opinion of the person who is doing the hiring!!!

Just remember to keep your chin up, look towards the future not the past, and always learn "SOMETHING" from you past mistakes to help you make better choices and decisions next time!!!

Have a great day to all who read this!!

Myself

i have had an MOP (minor in possesion) when i was in school. i had it expunged but i dont think it would hurt you from getting a job. i wouldnt sweat it to much.

not if it happens under the age of 18. anything under the age of 18 gets sealed on your 18th birthday. its not that big of a deal kids will be kids

NO, Any convictions as a minor can be sealed by the court. It cost no money, just talk to a court clerk to file the forms. Once done no one, not the military, government, or any other employer can get your minor records. Just don't ever admit anything yourself.

If you were charged as a minor (under 18...17 in some states), it won't be documented to your permanent record. However, if you were charged as an adult, it will remain on your record if you were convicted (plead guilty). As far as it affecting your ability to get a job, I don't think you'll have much trouble.

Simple solution:Don't get caught!!!If you do I wouldn't wory about it they usually seal your juvenile file

An underage doesn't stay on your record.
And, as far as finding a job, it will depend on where you look, because some places do a "Complete-Background-Check".
But, since you're underage, you could work at a fast-food place.

Good Luck To You!!
