Which wine is sweeter, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc?!

Question:

Which wine is sweeter, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc?

Answers:
Your question assumes that all Chardonnays are the same and all Sauvignon Blancs are the same. Of course, they are not - they vary from producer to producer and from region to region. However, on the whole, you should expect Chardonnays to be slightly sweeter, though there shouldn't be much in it. Often the "oakiness" that comes with so many Chardonnays nowadays almost masks the crispness of the wine, making it appear sweeter than it really is.

Sauvignon Blanc.

California Chardonnay's are usually heavily oaked, which imparts a smooth vanilla type flavor. Sauvignon Blanc is usually crisper and imparts a more minerally flavor.

It depends on the Chardonnay or Savignon Blanc. They are made from different grapes. The best way to find out is to have a tasting party and invite friends to bring one of their choice and do a tasting.

S.Blanc.

If you want really sweet, try a Zinfandel, Riseling, or a Gewurtztraminer. If you want to try a sweet red, try a Zinfandel, Syrah, or a Port.

You should try Fruity Lexia Thats like really sweet you can taste the sweetness more than the alcohol But i would say Chardonnay...

Abit off topic i know But...

Just thought i would lt you know lol...

It completely depends on what style the winemaker used when making the wine. Both Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc can come in as a 0 on a sugar scale but depending on if oak is used, the type of soil, the specific clone of grape used, either wine could taste sweeter than the other. For example, if you were to get an unoaked Chardonnay from say Prince Edward County in Ontario, Canada and compared it to an oaked Chardonnay from Napa or Sonoma in California, the oaked Chardonnay from California would taste sweeter than the Unoaked one from Canada. Similarly, take a Sauvignon Blanc from the Niagara region in Ontario, Canada and compare it to a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and the Canadian version may taste sweeter than the New Zealand version but could the California Chardonnay could taste sweeter than the Sauvignon Blanc.

Unfortunately, there is no hard and fast rule and each wine has to be looked at individually based on the terroir of the region and what the winemaker chooses to do to the wine.

Neither of these wines are typically considered "sweet". As others have stated, not all Chardonnays or Sauvignon Blancs will be the same.

For a sweet white wine I would recommend Rieslings. They have a floral aroma. They range from very dry and crisp to intensely sweet depending on where it is from. German Riesling is slightly sweet and balanced with some acidity. California Riesling tends to be sweeter.
