The owner of the establishment must have the license if he is selling alcohol to the public. Bartenders only need attend bartender school, if they wish. It helps in getting a better bartending job.

No such thing

i would say so, you have to in texas

You don't but you can bet a soggy bar rag your owner does.

yes I think it's required.

Just the bar itself needs the license.

no you only need a liquor licence if your the owner of the bar

im pretty sure you dont need a liquor license anywhere to be a bartender. you only need a license if you own the establishment where the drinks will be sold. a bartender is just an employee.

The establishment has to have one.....

I am a Manager for a hooters in georgia and it varies from county to county and the requirements also vary. Depending on what you may or may not have on your record will decide if you can get it. For example in henry county if you have a posession charge under an ounce you will not get a permit, however you could still get one in fulton county.... It just dpends on where you are....

Most counties issue the permits through the police departments, I would call them if they dont they will be able to tell you where.....

I am an ex chef/ restaurant owner. You do not need a liquor license but depending on the state you may need a card that shows you have been to a course held by the state's liquor board so you will understand the state liquor laws.

In Hawaii we call them blue cards... because they are blue :)

Only if you are going to own that bar.
