Marstons have gone all Carling?!
Answers: does anyone know why Marstons Pubs have ditched Carlsberg (propably the best lager in the world) for Carling (tastes like watery wee)???
I much prefer Carlsberg, maybe Carling has a higher alcohol content and is therefore more popular, although I don't know why it's gross. My son has worked in a Marstons pub since May and he says they've not sold Carlsberg in there as long as he's been there.
Down to popularity I guess. I have to admit to not knowing anyone who prefers Carlsberg to Carling, so it's probably a good business move for them. The landlord of my local tells me they have sold far more Carling than they ever did Carlsberg since the changeover!
It's because Marstons, i believe, have been bought out by the Carling Brewery Group
