Whats a good wine thats neither sweet nor expensive?!

Question:

Whats a good wine thats neither sweet nor expensive?

What should i look for in the ingredients to make sure the wine does not have a sweet taste? I hate sweet wine.

Answers:
try a bordeaux, can't go wrong and there are many very good ones under $15..like the one person said if it says "dry" it shouldn' t be sweet. Merlot's are very dry, but don't have as much flavor as Bordeaux's in my opinion.

Try a port wine

Beringer White Zinfindel or Beringer Pino Grigio- Try local wines, you can buy them at the grocery store rather than a winery and save money. If you live near a winery go there to sample and then buy at a local store!

Try Yellow Tail Chardonnay, it is inexpensive and dry

non-sweet wine is called dry. non-sweet champagne is brut.

Try Raven'swood merlot or red zinfandel. I usually find it at about 8 bucks a bottle. It is my favorite under 10 bucks.

Sycamore Lane Cabernet Sav.

It is a Napa Valley wine, and it is a great dryish red for only about $20 a bottle.

Go for a red wine of any sort (except Hungarian wines).
