Why is drinking bad for you?!

Question:

Why is drinking bad for you?

reasons why it can hurt kids if they try it at young age?
should they lower the age to 18 or keep it?
thank you very much

Answers:
Drinking, in moderation, is not "bad" for you. Studies even prove that one-two glasses of red wine, per day, is even healthy for you.

If you drink too much, too often, then it is dangerous for your health and can lead to alcoholism, liver disease, and other health issues.

Moderation is the key.. Too much of almost anything is bad.

Drinking too much damages your liver. It also lowers a person inhibitions which makes you do things you wouldn't normally do. If a person drinks too much, they could die.

Im not against alcohol in moderation, but a person needs to be old enough to know their limits.

i think its just dumb...bad for your liver its just a nasty habbit

the longer you drink, the worse that it is for you. The toxins in alcohol can eventually lead to cirrhosis of the liver, ultimately causing liver failure.

overindulgence it the problem a glass or two does not hurt look at europe and the rest of the world.

It destroys brain cells
Its addictive
Causes loss of control
Puts others in danger
Weaken blood vessels
Ruins your liver
Stresses your kidneys
Accelerates aging and wrinkles.
Tends to alter chromosomes with prolonged use
Hurts the child if your pregnant

drinking is bad for both young and old. drinking starts eating up the liver if you are a constant drinker. it also dehydrates the body. I think 18 years old drink regardless of the drinking age.

Watch the TV show Cops and see drunk people try to act normal. It's sad and embarrassing. Good Advice: Avoid starting anything that adults are trying to quit. Gamboling, smoking, drinking, drugs...It's better to stay away from things that might require rehab later on.

It is bad when done in excess. Also I think our perspective on alcohol is a little different. In many places it is seen as fine as long as it is done in moderation. Many Europeans I know have no problem with drinking but have a problem with drunks. With the exception of the Irish, English and Scots. Here I think it is sort of *** backwards. we seem to encourage drunks but then again see alcohol as a sin.

Well, the only reason children should not drink it is because they are they are still developing and their development can be altered by this. But as long as they drink small quantities, much like everyone else should, they should be fine.

The age limit is a bit high. I think 18 would be fine, since more people are mature physically by then and can better digest alcohol without as bad affects.

It's all about moderation and drinking in moderation can actually make you healthier than someone who abstains from drinking altogether. some of the biggest positives are in heart health. do the research
