What's a great way to drink tequila?!

Question: I'm looking for simple mix ideas with common ingredients that I'm already likely to have here at home.
Thanks!

Honestly, the only way to drink tequila the way God intended is straight out of the bottle with a lime on the side. Damn that sounds good right about now and the only thing I have is a freaking bottle of Robitussin, damnit. Maybe if I drink enough of it I'll convince myself it is tequila. I'll let you know how it worked out......

just drink it straight from a shot glass followed by lime, oh yeah dont forget the salt. Your get f*ed up quicker too. have fun.

with coca cola

lick it
slam it
suck it

there should be no other way

If it's a mixto (51% blue agave) or blanco (100% blue agave, but not aged), then try with Mt Dew (or Diet Dew). If reposado or anejo, sip it straight.

Shooters...any flavor, down they go, up you go!

straight up with the lime and sea salt

Yuuumm....best way to drink tequila is to sit down with me and we do shots together. (winks)
Ok.....seriously.....if you can't drink it straight up, try a Sunrise:
Tequila Sunrise
Ingredients:
* 2 measures Tequila
* Orange juice
* 2 dashes Grenadine

Mixing instructions:

Pour tequila in a highball glass with ice, and top with orange juice. Stir. Add grenadine by tilting glass and pouring grenadine down side by flipping the bottle vertically very quickly. The grenadine should go straight to the bottom and then rise up slowly through the drink. Garnish stirrer, straw and cherry-orange.

Tequila+Limeade+Triple Sec+Carbonated Water=Margaritas. .

With Coke. Or shot, lemon, salt.

Tequila and Orange juice with a swirl of grenadine.. Looks and tastes great.

When on a trip to Mexico, I had to go this place were I saw Tony Bourdan go, I went to the same bar with some chef friends and we had to have it like the locals, first you down the shot (100 proof), then lick a salt containing a local grub ground into it and then finish with a shot of hot sauce, and it was not your tame tabasco, this was full octane habenero stuff, after 6 you see stars, stripes, pink elephants and we were sure we were followed home by a talking burro??
