What would be a nice Christmas gift for my Pastor?Other than wine?!

Question: How about a basket full of gourmet chocolates

Answers: How about a basket full of gourmet chocolates

A gift card to the local grocer or gas station - many pastors have a limited income and a little extra at this time of year is always a good thought. If your church is more affluent and he is well paid then how about a nice map of the bible or a photo album of the holy land - something suitable for display so he can put it in his office. Good Luck!

Gift certificate to a nice restaurant

a gift card to "bible's R us"

no joke, there IS a store called that!

I'm much older now and I have found throughout the years the Pastor's (sometimes they have wives) love to receive something you have made yourself and that they can share with others. They know that you have made the item e.g. cake, cookies, jam, or in some cases my sons asked me to do the bulk but they always helped stirring the cake or cookies or the jam. The Pastors in turn share with other parishoners who are not quite as gifted or don't have the funds to procure the ingredients. In this land of plenty, we don't have the opportunity to walk in other peoples shoes. The Paster knows.

Please.....no fruit baskets or candies.
One pastor said that he and his wife receive pounds and pounds and pounds of candies, fruits, and other goodies. They cannot possible eat all this stuff.

One large church got together and put in enough money for the pastor and his wife to go on a nice vacation.

Another church put their gift money together and bought the pastor and his wife a new washer and dryer. They need these things too.

you dont giv e a pastor wine thats wrong christmas cake is better

A new bible or taking him out for lunch
