Why are Cuban cigars are banned at the U.S.?!

Question:

Why are Cuban cigars are banned at the U.S.?

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

Answers:
Because everything from Cuba has been banned. That being said, Cuban cigars aren't what they used to be. Good ones are indeed good, but the consistency isnt there. Two sticks from the same box can be on total opposite ends of the spectrum. Many of the hondouran or dominican are cuban seed and are many times better cigars.

I'm a cigar smoker and I smoke plenty of cuban cigars while I play at Canadian casinos.

All Cuban trade goods are embargoed by the US

all cuban products are banned. There has been an embargo on Cuban exports since the 1960's as a result of the cuban missle crisis.

Its retarded in my opinion but thats US policy

because of Venezuelan Chavez. he supports Cuba. it's all his fault.

Everything from Cuba is banned. Cigars are a popular complaint, because they are about the only thing of value produced in Cuba.

So only politicians and rich people can get them.

Well, really, America is still in a snit over Cuba nationalizing all the private property in Cuba during the Castro-led revolution, and the mutual hate has not improved since then. It's kind of childish. So we have a trade embargo against them since 1962 - 45 years with no normalization.

Politics
cuba is a dictatorship and will NOT cooperate in providing peace to their citizenship
US boycott
stupid leaders still today to put America down
We do not need their cigars if the profits go to defame the USA.

The same reason everything else Cuban is banned. The embargo the USA has had since Castro took over as leader.
