You're like a lot of people between the ages of 18 and 35. You're a binge drinker. Some say that this is a serious problem, because you can do embarrasing things while intoxicated. If its affecting your personal /work life or your health, you know you need to stop. Otherwise, try not drinking for a weekend and see if you're ok. If you are, just keep an eye on yourself to make sure you don't progress into full alcoholism. Here's a link

You are definitely overdoing it on the weekends. You need to work on what's bothering you. You need to talk to someone.

yes

Yes, I'm sorry to say, I do think you have a problem. My mother is the same way. She works during the week, so she can't afford to drink then, but she drinks every weekend. It has been that way for a good number of years. Not to mention that she is killing herself, (the doctor has already warned her) I can't stand to be around her. She goes through these crazy phases when she's drinking. First, she acts like a nut, then she starts making smart comments, and her last phase is the depressed about life phase.

In the past, I've worried about drinking occasionally. Because I've read so much literature that said alcoholism is genetic. One of the major warning signs to me is if you want to drink to make yourself feel better about your reality.

Yes, sounds like an alcoholic.

However, it also could be a symptom of hypoglycemia.

My Step-Father was the same way, and we were about to get that diagnosed when it killed him (he was in his 40's).

Yes, it's a problem. You should take it seriously.

If you have issues with depression you should talk to a psychologist about that, ideally one who specializes both in addiction and also depression.

Yes, it is a problem when you drink because you are depressed.

yes it is a problem

nope, its normal. i have the same habit and if not drunk enough ill feel like the weekend and the money spent on it wasn't worth it, unless of course a magical something happens to top it off;). as you send, you rarely drink throughout the week, which means you can sustain yourself from it for i guess 5 days a week. which is pretty good and not dangerous. its more of a habit than a problem and your body's expecting to get wasted. its all a mental thing really. if you manage to get control of your metabolism towards that you wont have any problem. if people can get drunk because they THOUGHT they drunk alcohol, I'm sure you can be happy cause you KNOW your tipsy and tell yourself that your satisfied at the light feeling. besides, i cant stand missing out on partys because i was too gone to remember too often. I'm sure you would enjoy yourself more if you wouldn't..I'm trying to get out of the habit in the way i told you...its working since 4 weekends now:D I'm happy. hope you find your place!

does it controle you life if so you have a problem try having one drink and go home if you cant you may have a problem

Nope. The only problem is that the weekend is not long enough.
