What in the world is Cointreau ( i know it's a liquor, but)?!

It is very expensive (Top Shelf) triple sec. Orange liqueur, in other words. It can be served neat or more commonly found in a great Margarita. Its just expensive triple sec.

Its just fancy triple sec. which is an orange flavoured liquor. you can drink it straight unlike most other triple secs and its part of alot of mixed drinks as you say.

it is an orange flavoured liquor. you can use grand mariner or triple sec for you. i have had it in cosmos and margaritas.

The flavor comes from bitter orange. You can substitute triple sec in mixed drinks. I usually make my own from bitter orange rind plus the usual additives: vodka, sugar, water, food coloring....
