Which is the better wine - Estancia Meritage from Alexander Valley or from Paso Robles?!

Question: To all you wine connoisseurs out there, I'm confused. I was recommended Estancia Meritage 2004, but I find some out there from Alexander Valley, and some from Paso Robles - whats the difference, and which is better?

I wouldn't say that there is a better choice - just different. Estancia moved some of their vineyards a while back - they used to be almost exclusively in Alexander Valley - but moved to Paso Robles for the warmer climate for some of the bigger beafier reds - such as the grape tipes found in that meritage. I would pick the Paso Robles simply because i think the terroir and the climate might be a little better suited to the blend. If you were looking for a Pinot Noir - Alexander would be better suited.
