Good Red Wine?!

Question: I love "Columbia Crest' Grand Estates Cabernet Sauvignon" '03. Is there anything else that you might consider a great Red Wine? Something sweet and full bodied.

Blossom Hill is a good brand.

Try Hess Select Cabs

Try Breitenbach's Road House Red. An amish red wine, its is delicious.

I like Coppola's Claret (about $12-$13)

There are a ton of Australian wineries putting out these bold, sweet fruit bomb blends for under $10. Pillar Box Red, Big House Red, Stickleback Red. Most are pretty easy to find at grocery stores. Great? Maybe not, but certainly a great value for a very drinkable wine.

2004 Cabs from Cali are drinking superbly now. A lot of them are richer, fuller and the tannins have softened a bit. Another fun and easy wine to drink is a blend called Cacaphony made by a winemaker friend who recently passed, Todd Williams, at Toad Hollow Vineyards. The wines are still available.

You could also opt for a red zin from the Lodi Area of Cali. Wines from this area are often lush, full and exhibit ripe, dark, fruity notes.
