If you drink alcohol, would you still like the taste of it, if it had the same effect on you as water does?!
Answers: Most of the time I drink to get drunk. If it had the same effect as water I definitely wouldn't drink it.
Yeah, that would be awesome because then it would eliminate a large percentage of hangovers that are usually the result fo dehydration from drinking all night, but the real question isn't about the taste because beer taste great
I'm sure the kids that just drink to get drunk would not like that. But those of us who homebrew, or are beer snobs, would still drink because we like the flavor of the beer, no matter the ABV.

Yep, there was a guy when I was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska who drank a full case of beer every night and did not feel a thing. Was skinny as a rail. But he loved the taste of beer. Go figure.
