A Drinking Question???!

Question:

A Drinking Question???

If I'm 20 yrs old and I'm married to a guy that is 21 years old...Can I drink at Bars in TEXAS?

Answers:
When you turn 21 you can.

no you cant, the only way you can do that is if hes your legal guardian, but hes not that, hes your legal spouse. so get beer and take it to your house

not legally.

No, however you can sign a legal & binding contract for just about anything! Hmmmm, what is wrong with that picture?

I had to take some TABC classes about 10 years ago, and at that time, the answer was YES. Don't know today, but you should be able to pull up the TABC website and find out. However, this is not something that they would teach servers in a restaurant, and you will most likely not get the drink if they ID you.

My fiance is a TABC licensed bartender in Texas and yes legally you can drink with your husband present. You may have to carry around a copy of your marriage license along with your ID though. I am a couple years older than my fiance and we are going to be getting married about 6 months before he turns 21 so we're going to be in the same situation. He already told me that I'm going to be the designated driver for a while. Haha! Some people may not be informed of the law so if you get any trouble just ask for a manager. They darn well better know the correct laws.

yes you can drink the beer
