IS THERE AN EXPIRATION DATE on...?!

Question: An opened bottle of red wine? There is nothing on the bottle that says it should not be consumed after a certain timeframe.

after about 6-7 hours it wll start to expire. it's because of the air getting in the open bottle. if unopened there is no expiration date.

The wine has enough alcohol in it to kill most germs that would harm you, BUT even after a few days, the taste will have changed (oxidized) enough that you probably won't want to drink it. This will happen even if the bottle hasn't been opened. Unless it has been stored at a low, non-varying temperature, most wines last less than a decade.

24 hours at room temp.

After 6 hours the a wine at room temp will begin to lose flavor and at 24 it is downright fowl. Refrigeration can extend the time as much as 2 weeks, but there will still be flavor lose after a short time.

There is no expiration date on wine, a high enough ABV will allow it to sit in a cellar for a while. But once it is opened, and the wine comes in contact with oxygen, it begins oxidizing immediately. You will not notice the oxidation for a few days. Once you've opened a bottle of wine, you should consume it within a few days or a week.
