Does burgundy have to be refrigerated after it has been opened?
Answers:
All wine ought to be refrigerated after opening, to slow down the oxidation process. Most wine should be drunk up within a few days of opening.
I'm assuming you mean a red burgundy (there are white ones too, such as Chablis). No red wine should be refrigerated, either before or after opening- it will make it taste very tannic and metallic (this is why red wine is served slightly below room temperature and not chilled). just cover the bottle or put the cork back in and keep in a cool (not cold) dark place- it should be fine for a few days at least. White wine should however be put back in the fridge after opening, with the cork replaced.
