Answers:
Probably not.

If it's for sale, almost certainly not worth it. Mouton Cadet isn't such great wine, so it's not likely to be so wonderful after 17 years (though you never know...it might be really wonderful), and if it's been upright for 17 years in a dry-ish environment, the cork has probably dried out and let air in, and you'll have something like vinegar.

If you own it already, open it and see....maybe have a decanter or pitcher on hand in case the cork falls to bits, in which case, you'll want to strain it through a tea strainer, cheesecloth, or coffee filter so you don't have little bits of cork to drink.

In any case, when you open it, plan on drinking it immediately (no breathing), and have another bottle on hand if you have guests, in case it's bad.

depends on the cork, probaly not if it crumbles when you try and open it unless you don't mind the piece of cork in your drink but i'd recomend against it

I need more info. what were the conditions when you bought it? how longs was it standing upright? Its probably drinkable but it might be past its peak. NEED MORE INFO
