SISTER
whoa
you buy a cheese platter at the deli.. not home made....
and choose a market that has a large wine section and a sommelier to work with the butcher
you would spend a fortune and have left overs going to waste
don't forget to bring some special breads or crackers YOU to enjoy with your wine and cheese.....
Happy Holidays..?
Smoked Gouda is good cheese
Mozzarella balls
Jarlsburg is a nutty mild cheese. It is great with a nice chardonnay. Jepson is good, Chateau Ste Michelle good/inexpensive
I don't like funky cheese either, but this stuff is like a really mild swiss. Its great
May I recommend this site...http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/cpairing.ht...
goat cheese with champagne, soft ripe cheeses with lighter whites such as Reisling, swiss type harder cheeses with a sweeter wine like a chardonnay, cheddars with red wines like merlot once you get into the cabernets you want a blue or strongly flavored cheese. Have butter, apples, grapes some nuts as well such as almonds and walnuts. Just pick out three cheeses you know you'll like so that if there are left overs you can use them in cooking. Smoked cheeses are a wonderful thing too such as Gouda or a smoked swiss cheese. Also try making a fondue as an addition to your cheese party and then you can add fresh veggies like mushrooms to go with the bread.
LOL, cisco...md 20/20...thunderbird...buckfast!
seriously, i would reccomend a medium-priced brand of white zinfandel?
any chéése u like same goes 4 wine just enjoy
Grapes of course, Wine crackers, strawberrys, people like brie cheese its really good with wine, munster, swiss, mozzareala etc a good chedder also. try port wines those are sweet dessert wines
i like smoked gouda with a red wine, also Mushroom Brie, guiness has a nice cheese too, very tasty with a red merlot. A must have is grapes and sliced apples, I recommend yellow tail for a small gathering, bigger ones, a boxed merlot, pour wine in decanters before your guests arrive, don't for get the crusty bread and olive oil and basalmic vinegar. a white sparkling wine is nice too, but no sweet wine
