How many 12oz glasses equal 1-pitcher of beer? trying to show high consumption of alcohol in detail. Do pitchers of beer come in different sizes? or give an article to show proof?

Unfortunately I couldn't think of any articles that would cover this..
I was a bartender for about 5 years and in my tenure I've found that there a ton of different pitchers. Some have portions cut away for ice to keep beer cold.
The general answer is there are about 4-6 glasses of beer in a pitcher. Roughly, it depends on how you pour it, if you pour it with a lot of head or not.
With beer out of a glass, people tend to drink more, because it is easier to drink larger gulps from a glass than out of a bottle or can.
If you need more specifics, you can always look on the bottom of a pitcher and usually it will say how many oz's they have, or go to a bartending website that sells pitchers. It should say the volume.
Again you are going to run into how the pitcher is filled, how much head is poured into the pitcher.

most bars have different size pitchers, there isn't a universal pitcher size... any where from 3 pints up
damn straight it's possible to drink that much beer in 3 1/2 hours.. it just takes dedication.
Most pitchers are 2 quarts - which would equal 64 ounces. 5 12 oz glasses plus another 1/4 glass would fill a 2 qt pitcher. is it possible to drink that much in 3 1/2 hours? Yes, just about anything is possible. The person would probably be sick or drunk, but they could consume that amount.
The answer is a simple one. Just depends on the size of the pitcher. Most bars carry 40 oz or 60 oz pitchers so three to five beers are in most pitchers. Surely I hope you have had two pitchers in that amount of time!!
A pitcher is 60 ounces usually, some places carry half pitchers as well, but the standard is 60 oz so that would be the same as 5 12 oz beers, and yes it is definitly posible to drink 2 in 3 hours, on rough nights I will have 4 pitchers in that amount of time, needless to say afterwards I do not drive home. It takes real work to get drunk on beer, and then afterwards you wish you hadn't.
