Answers: why do you think people under 18 drink illegally and do you think it is a big deal if it is only sometimes with the parents permition
its illegal because the law says so.....in reality..facts are different...on the continent minors are given wine glass during meals...it promotes responsible drinking when they become adults...no problems there...
under 18 are you kidding me my Junior Year in high school every person( and i mean every one which was like 110 people in my class give or take 2) drank every weekend. We do it to have fun!! We ever got cought and we made friends along the way!! Why does anyone drink, to escape responsibility, and just forget about stuff for a while! And i dont believe it is a big deal if a kid drinks with there parents if they are allowed to drink a little before they reach the big party stage 16 - 24 they will be less likely to over due it at some party!
I think minors do it because it IS illegal. I don't think there is anything wrong with parents allowing a little under supervision and as long as they are not allowed to leave the house afterward, especially driving anywhere!

It's a personal choice like anything else. In Jamaica it is not illegal to drink under 21 and people do not make a big deal about it.
They want to release their inhibitions and have fun, just like someone who is over 21. It being illegal has nothing to do with it. If it was legal they would still drink it.
Also some love the taste of the drink.
Because they think it makes them look big. If they only knew what it makes them really look like! Yes, I believe it's a big deal, why would any halfway decent parent give their under aged kid an alcoholic drink? Unless they are just as clueless as the kid!!!!
I think that people drink under aged for the same reason they smoke pot... We have placed such a taboo on it in our culture's that kids want to first rebel against the establishment and second explore the unknown. If we were to educate people about alcohol at an early age and remove some of the mystery then it wouldn't be such a big deal. I myself believe that children should be allowed a moderate amount of alcohol on special occasions. I'm not saying to give your 5 year old a beer, but to allow your 13 year old a glass of wine at Christmas dinner. If we remove the mystery there will be know reason to explore/experiment. Also by educating the young we can reduce alcohol related deaths and injures. In the US the original idea behind upping the drinking age to 21 from 18 was because there were higher numbers of deaths in the 18-20 range. Now that it has been at 21 for almost 30 years the higher death rate is 21-24.
I think its wrong, it will ok if parents give permission. The age limit should de 16 becoz 16 year teenager knows that whay is good or bad.
Yes it is a big deal but they do it anyway. And whoever sale them that sh*t needs to go to jail.
